Shri Tilok Jain Dnyan Prasarak Mandal’s Shri Anand College, Pathardi also functions as
a study center for the various courses offered by Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open
University (YCMOU). YCMOU was established in 1989 by the Act of the Maharashtra State
Legislature (Act XX- (1989). YCMOU has been recognized under section 12 (B) by the UGC
Act, 1956. The primary goals of the YCMOU are to become a Mass Varsity and give the general
public with educational opportunities that will improve their prospects for the future and be
useful in their day-to-day lives. In addition to launching various innovative online endeavours,
the university provides a number of offline programmes.

Motto

“Dnyana Ganga Gharoghari” directly translates to “the river of knowledge at every home.” In
actuality, the tagline captures the goal of bringing information into home of the common man
