Other Backward Classes Cell

The Other Backward Classes (OBC) Cell is established within the college with the aim of empowering OBC students and staff. The cell is consistently involved in addressing the diverse issues faced by OBC students and is proactive in finding solutions. Additionally, the cell is responsible for addressing concerns related to the OBC and Minority communities.

Objectives:

• To educate and empower the marginalized sections of society.
• To implement, monitor, and evaluate the reservation policies of the State and Central governments.
• To provide counseling and guidance to OBC students on various issues and support them in academic activities.

Principles of Guidance:

• Disseminating orders and notifications related to scholarships, appointments, and promotions for teaching and non-teaching positions issued by the Government of India, Government of Maharashtra, University Grants Commission, and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
• Organizing remedial coaching for students facing academic challenges.
• Providing guidance on matters related to admission, scholarships, recruitment, and promotions.
• Monitoring the grievance redressal mechanism concerning both students and staff, including those from minority communities.
