The inception of the National Service Scheme at the college dates back to 1978, where it was established as a supportive service. This initiative offers students the chance to actively participate in diverse community service activities and government-led programs. The outreach and community service initiatives undertaken by college NSS volunteers beyond their regular programs. These extension activities are designed to extend the impact and benefits of the NSS to a wider community. It involves community engagement, social service, and projects aimed at addressing local needs and issues. The primary objective of the NSS is to furnish young students with practical, hands-on experience in engaging with and contributing to community service initiatives.
Extension activities may include:

Environmental Conservation Projects: This may involve tree planting drives, cleanliness campaigns, and initiatives to promote environmental sustainability.

Red Ribbon Club: To create health awareness in communities, AIDS awareness programme through street play, Essay, Rangoli, Posters competition.
Voter Awareness Club: To organize campaigns to raise awareness about voter registration. To organize different competition for the voter awareness.
These extension activities not only contribute to the betterment of society but also provide NSS volunteers with valuable experiences in community service, leadership, and teamwork. Increased awareness among students regarding constitutional obligations, encompassing values, rights, duties, and citizen responsibilities.
Students actively participated in major tree plantation at Manikdaundi hilly area, and about 1008 tree planted by NSS volunteers.

Blood donation camps proved instrumental in ensuring a readily available supply of blood for those in need, even during challenging pandemic conditions.
Hb checkup camp for students
Hb checkup camp, include educational components to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining optimal hemoglobin levels, factors influencing hemoglobin concentration, and lifestyle practices that can contribute to overall health. Such camps were organized by healthcare institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), or community groups as part of their efforts to promote preventive healthcare and address specific health concerns within a population.
Students actively participated in community development initiatives within adopted villages. This included the construction of sock-pit, bunds, cleanliness drives, watershed management, promotion of social integrity, elimination of superstitions, implementation of de-addiction programs, and fostering development through special winter, rallies, street plays, and various other activities.
