Department of English

The department of English is established in 2001. The Department of English is dedicated to nurturing a deep appreciation for language, literature, and critical thinking. Our mission is to provide a transformative education that develops students linguistic proficiency, literary analysis skills, and cultural awareness.

Objectives:

• Foster linguistic excellence by enhancing students proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the English language.
• Explore diverse literary traditions, genres, and critical theories to develop a comprehensive understanding of literature’s cultural, historical, and artistic significance.
• Cultivate critical thinking skills, encouraging students to analyze texts, engage in meaningful discussions, and articulate well-supported interpretations.
